Each CBC News in Review segment is carefully crafted to give students and teachers a timely and concise examination of Canadian and world issues. Footage from CBC's archives helps provide historical context. News in Review is also closed captioned.

The Alberta Video Co-Acquisition Consortium (COAC) and Alberta Education have acquired the license for these programs and a year's subscription is available for purchase through the Learning Resources Centre (LRC) for a cost per subscription of $128.00 plus GST (includes 8 DVD's) for non-COAC members. The COAC member price will be determined at the end of CBC News in Review order period once all the orders have been consolidated. The COAC members will receive an order confirmation with their amended prices.

Please note: COAC members can access the streamed programs on the COAC password protected website at no cost.

The CBC News in Review Subscription order period will be from September 1, 2010 - September 21, 2010.

Although you will order all 8 programs in this period, the orders will be shipped and invoiced each month as they become available.

During the subscription order period you can access the CBC News in Review products only after logging on as a registered Alberta K-12 customer.

In the online services menu select CBC News in Review Subscription you can enter your order for the subscription and if you are a COAC member you can access the COAC pricing information.

Individual monthly programs may be purchased after September 21, 2010. At this time the CBC News in Review product information will be available through our regular search functions. COAC members please note that the COAC member pricing is only in effect if you order during the CBC News in Review Subscription order period. Schools may retain programs for the life of the DVD, that is, a non-erasure clause is in effect.
